Announcement
Welcome to Nutmeg Basketry! I am a traditional New England basketmaker who weaves from my home in Connecticut.
My baskets are influenced by black ash splint baskets which were sold throughout New England by peddlers in the late 18th and early 19th Century. These work or "field" baskets were used to hold everything from eggs, wool, garden vegetables, fruit, and linens. Today, they are just as useful and can replace plastic containers.
I hope you will enjoy using your baskets as much as I love creating them!

5 out of 5 starsCute basket. Really love the handles. I would have liked a tighter weave on the bottom to give more options for use. The basket seems well made and arrived in record time.

5 out of 5 starsBeautifully made - I hung it in our front hallway to collect mail as functional decor. The price point was very affordable and the shipping was very fast!

5 out of 5 starsThis is the sweetest ornament, and beautifully crafted! Don't think I can wait til Christmas, and certainly not Valentine's Day, to display it so I'm going to hang it in my kitchen window where we can enjoy it every day. Thank you for the wonderful customer service, too. Can't wait to purchase more!
